Requirements
- Relevant evidenced FREC4, FREUC5, IHCD, AAP or Paramedic qualifications.
- Paramedics registered with HCPC
- FREC4, FREUC5, IHCD and AAPs registered with either HPAC or UKREMT
- Provide evidence of at least 1 year of experience and a current active CPD portfolio.
- CERAD, ROSPA or alternative driving qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check with no previous or pending criminal convictions or charges.
- Last 3 years of employment history and reference checks
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom with proof of address and eligibility
Please note, that zero-hour contracts do not guarantee any regular or amount of work. The number of work days available is subject around the business needs of GWAS Ambulance and Set Medics UK and the amount of staff they have available on any given period.
Rates of pay are subject to the applicant's experience and qualifications and could be discussed prior to a contract being issued and agreed to, but the rates listed are the going rates per qualification paid 14 to 30 days of receipt of invoice, (normally within 14 days).
First Responders (FREC3)

Unfortunately here at GWAS Independent Ambulance Service Ltd & Set Medics UK, we do not employ FREC3 as alot of our work is solo and we believe that for the safety of both the clients patrons and the first responder themselves, that a FREC3 should never work Solo. We do occasionally take on FREC3 for specific events as part of the medical team in first aider roles as part of our larger team of clinicians.
