The Weapons Master, sometimes credited as the Armorer, weapons specialist, weapons handler, weapons wrangler, or weapons coordinator, is a film crew specialist that works with the property master, director, actors, stunt coordinator and script supervisor.

The weapons master is specifically responsible for maintaining control of any prop weapons, including firearms, knives, swords, bows, and staff weapons.

At Set Armourers UK we alwasy sent a Servant of the company to accoumpany all weapons and all servants have extensive weapons training and are all either ex police firearms officers or ex infantry soldiers that have undertaken small arms school training.

We, unlike some others will never hire weapons without an Armourer present, our armourers are paid a daily rate as per BECTU guidelines at the rate of the Action Props Superviser this rate is negotiable. Prop weapon rental terms are 100% of weapond value as a deposit and a daily rate of 10% for the first 5 days and 5% thereafter.
