Set Armourers UK
Specialist weapons masters and armourers for film and TV production. All our armourers are ex-police firearms officers or ex-infantry soldiers — providing full prop weapons hire with an Armourer always present.
Weapons Master / Armourer
The Weapons Master — sometimes credited as the Armorer, weapons specialist, weapons handler, or weapons coordinator — is a film crew specialist working with the property master, director, actors, stunt coordinator and script supervisor.
The weapons master is specifically responsible for maintaining control of any prop weapons, including firearms, knives, swords, bows and staff weapons.
At Set Armourers UK, we always send a company servant to accompany all weapons. All servants have extensive weapons training and are ex-police firearms officers or ex-infantry soldiers that have undertaken small arms school training.
We will never hire weapons without an Armourer present.
